The Physio Roberto Colombini graduated from the University of East London in 1998 with BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Beginning his career in the NHS where he quickly established himself as an effective and enthusiastic Musculoskeletal Physio. Developing a special interest in Spinal Pain and Movement Disorders. Focusing on back and neck pain included extensive post graduate training in core stability re-education and strengthening exercises.
Roberto qualified as a Medical Acupuncturist through the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapist (AACP) in 2003. He has been a keen acupuncturist ever since.
In 2004 Roberto moved into Private Practice in the City of London. He has earned a reputation for effective treatment and a successful problem solving approach. Especially with complex spinal cases and severe, acute and chronic sporting injuries.
Roberto is an expert manual therapist adopting a holistic approach in his treatment management. Taking into account the whole body’s mechanical properties and global movement for assessment purposes. Enabling precise diagnosis and implementation of best treatment required to rectify mechanical dysfunction, resolve pain and cure injury.
Today Roberto continues to progress and develop his physiotherapy practice with regular postgraduate training. He has developed highly successful approaches in the treatment of Sporting Injuries, especially those in the lower limb and shoulder girdle. He has expert knowledge in the field of Post Surgical Rehabilitation and the treatment of Tendonopathy and Tendon Injuries. Whether traumatic, resulting from sport or incurred during every day life.
An extension of Roberto’s interest in Spinal pain and spinal movement dysfunction has led him to become skilled in the management of uncommon painful mechanical syndromes. Such as TMJ – Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), Neck related Headaches, Migraines, Dizziness, Tinnitus and Sacroiliac joint Movement Dysfunction (which can often result in pelvic and/or lower limb pain).
In 2019 Life Physiotherapy opened in the City of London. In 2020 Life Physiotherapy expanded to Bromley and South London.
